Getting recognized as an eclectic and versatile DJ, compared to a hits or mainstream DJ took work. At this point in my career, I'd made a name for myself as a person that could read and move the crowd with mostly recognizable classics or newer hit music...I cultivated interest in my compiling and mixing skills applied to 'underground' or other music. This was major for opportunity and for the recognition of my competency with blending unusual tunes to create different feels and aesthetics for crowds that may have heard it all before. I like the chance to play all of the music I love.
