The original KILLJOY was a surprise hit when it debuted in the early 2000s, so it seemed a foregone conclusion that the killer clown would be a new staple in the Full Moon repertoire. But as we see this week, the franchise almost died after the second entry, and was only able to return after a complete reimagining in the early 2010s.
