You know some guests really need no introduction, but in case you’re unfamiliar with Joe “Big House” Kenn, let me fill you in real quick on this guys’ rap sheet….

He’s a 30+ year vet of the strength and conditioning game.

He’s worked – and had success – at every level of physical preparation, from high school to the pros.

He spent 9-years in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers, which included a trip to Super Bowl 50.

And to my knowledge, he’s the ONLY COACH to be named NSCA Strength Coach of the Year at both the collegiate and professional levels.

So needless to say, I’m pretty sure he knows a thing or two about S&C!

And in today’s episode, Joe and I dive into a whole bunch of topics: From how he’s using R7 with his programs, to training and working around injuries, and finally with a little chat about the arms race that is the high-school S&C game.

This one is a doozy – let’s do it!

I don’t try pieces of equipment…I TRAIN equipment. – Joe Kenn

Force plates are in no way, shape or form new technology, but Hawkin Dynamics has brought them to the 21st century.

Hawkin Dynamics plates are wireless which makes them portable and easy to set-up and use.

You’ll have the ability to performance test your athletes in a matter of seconds, and give them immediate feedback on their strengths and weaknesses.

Their software interface is clean, intuitive and easy on the eye, so both you and your athletes can visualize what’s going on and how to improve their performance.

And last but not least, dual force plates allow you to see side-to-side asymmetries, especially in athletes who are in the return to play process.

With options to lease or buy, coupled with a 5-year warranty, Hawkin Dynamics force plates can take your performance facility to the next level.
