I talked to Lauren Potter about her pregnancy story, and I think you should go check out what she has to say.
Lauren had a lot going on in her pregnancy. Not everything was going right. She wanted to get to the delivery day and have a healthy baby to hold in her arms. Learn from Lauren that things will be thrown at you. Don’t let pregnancy hit you, ask your doctor questions, and be in control.
Her six-week mark started with nausea and vomiting and lasted until she was 20 weeks gestation. She did begin to take Unisom and Vitamin B6 to help her with nausea and vomiting. At the eight week mark, she went to the emergency room and found out that she had a hemorrhage. She had to be on bedrest for five weeks until it resolved. She went on vacation at 25 weeks gestation and she began to have contractions. Then at the end of her pregnancy, she had frequent bladder infections and itching. At 39 weeks gestation, she was induced, she was in labor for 36 hours and then had an emergency C-Section.
Lauren had a lot of obstacles that she had to work around. Pregnancy is different for each woman, pregnancy can be difficult, and it can present new challenges every day. Be ready for whatever happens.
Lauren did not have a good doctor at the beginning of her pregnancy. Her doctor did not answer her questions. She had to find a new doctor to get better care. She encourages women to find a doctor that has time to answer questions, and she cautions women to not go to Google for everything. Go to your doctor, and find a good source. It is important to be informed to be able to make the decisions with the help of your doctor.
Lauren did not have a birth plan because she knew she had to be flexible on delivery day. She decided she would go with the flow to make sure she went with whatever made her safe and her baby safe. A birth plan is guidance. A birth plan is amazing, but keep in mind that you and baby need to be safe. So, some things may change.
