Thank a Public Safety Telecommunicator
Rowlett Communications Center will be celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week from Sunday, April 14th to Saturday, April 20th, 2024. This week is dedicated to honoring the men and women of 9-1-1 who tirelessly serve our community by answering emergency calls, dispatching Law, Fire, and EMS, and providing life-saving assistance to those in need. This marks our fourth year celebrating as an Emergency Responder. Our Telecommunicators are a dedicated group committed to serving our community, and we want to make this week special for them. Each year, our Telecommunicators receive small tokens or gifts from our center and local responders, along with food and drinks as a special thanks. This year, we invite our community to get involved! Consider “Adopting a Dispatcher” as a special way to thank each individual for their work. Appreciation can be shown through handwritten notes or cards, small gift cards, or gift baskets. We are excited to see how creative our community can be! Adopting a Dispatcher is ideal for individual families, work/office professionals, church groups, friend groups, or anyone else who would like to participate. Here is how you can participate! Rowlett Communications Center has 16 Telecommunicators on staff. To request a Telecommunicator’s name or a group of Telecommunicators, send us an email to: hceaser@rowlett.com rciomek@rowlett.com In your message, please include who you are, what organization you/your group are from (if any), and how many names you’d like.
