After an unexpected early induction due to low amniotic fluid levels, my husband and I rushed to the hospital unprepared for what was ahead. From wearing compression boots for my blood clotting disorder to the painful Foley catheter insertion, labor was full of surprises and challenges. I take you through the intense and quick progression of contractions, the moment when things took a turn after my water broke and caused me to have an emergency c-section, and the unforgettable moment of meeting my son. I'll also share everything that happened in the hospital after giving birth to my son, including some hiccups and oversights that made me really have to advocate for myself and for my son.
