On this episode of LYTWT we discuss the Compound Effect. First be Patient with yourself. You’ve spent 10 to 20, 30 or 40 years or more creating bad habits the patterns of thoughts and actions repeated many times create a Nuro-signature or brain groove are interconnected neurons that carry the thought patterns of a particular habit Attention feeds the habit. When we give our attention to the habit we activate the brain groove, releasing the thoughts, actions and desires related to that habit, luckily our brains are malleable (easily influenced). If we stop giving attention to the bad habits those grooves weaken. When we form new habits we drive new grooves deeper with each repetition eventually over powering the previous ones. If you fall off the wagon don’t beat yourself up just get back on. We all stumble. Reinforce your commitment and consistency, try a new strategy.
