But they didn’t… God had other plans, which David fulfilled, because he’d spent years, on his own with the sheep, worshipping God, learning to hear his voice, and honing his craft with the slingshot. He’d learned how to defeat the enemy in private, so that when it came to a public showdown, he wasn’t intimidated.
