This episode is about dealing with the issues that I have been dealing with for running out of space on my iPhone. After getting a notice on my iPhone about running out of space, due to my pictures and videos that were taking up approximately 19 GB of storage. I decided to purchase the iCloud's additional storage space to relieve my iPhone of the swallowed up memory being used. After purchasing the additional iCloud space, the uploading time, for the amount of GBs to be uploaded, was taking over a couple days to upload and constantly pausing, after a couple of hours, during the upload. Since, the uploading time was dragging on too long for me, I decided that I would try to upload the rest of the pictures and videos to my computer or to a USB type of storage to relieve my iPhone from running out of storage space. However, uploading to a Window's operating system became a challenge. Number one, because I was trying to upload my photos and videos to my Window's 7 operating system, plugging the iPhone into the computer did not update to the correct drivers, if those drivers were available (note: I do also have a the Window's 10 operating system, but since I have been dealing with problems on the Window's 10 operating system, such as, freezing and moving too slow this has gotten better with the recent Window's 10 update [almost slower than dial up], I have been using the Window's 7 to complete any work). Number two, for the photos videos that I was trying to import to the Window's 7 computer, the correct filing extensions for Apple, such as the AAE and HEIC fi, do not work for Window's media player, so you would have to use a different media player to see and hear the videos. Number three, in order to download your photos and videos correctly onto your Windows computer, you would have to download iCloud's software, specifically for Windows and the specific version for your operating system. After downloading the iCloud software, in order to, download your pictures and videos onto your Windows computer, you would need to upload all of your photos and videos to iCloud, before you can download the photos and videos to your computer. If you do not want to upload all of your photos and videos to iCloud; then the option to download your photos and videos to your computer is not an option anymore. Number four, if you have decided not to use iCloud anymore to store your photos and videos anymore; then you will have to delete the photos and videos already saved to iCloud's storage within 30 days; however, deciding to close your iCloud storage or delete anything saved to the iCloud storage might lead someone back to the same issues of uploading all photos and videos to iCloud's storage, in order to delete or download the photos and videos uploaded. In order to delete or download any photos or videos in iCloud's storage, you will have to upload all the rest of your photos or videos that iCloud does not have uploaded, already, in this storage space. Number five, the only other option that you may have is to delete the photos or videos that are taking up too much storage space; however, the option to ever transfer photos or videos to your Window's computer, a USB, or external storage space will not likely be an option. Number six, another issue with the iPhone's storage space is the lack of capability to delete any type of cache saved from the different apps on your iPhone that is sometimes unnecessary storage space that can be used. Usually on Android phones, the capability to delete the cache is not that difficult, but with the iPhone, I have not seen this capability yet or option, which if you a lot of different apps on your iPhone, every app will be using space to save settings, updates, and etc., but all of the updates on your iPhone are not being deleted, just using up space. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kargalettalolitadavis/message
