#99 - 🧠➡️🔎✅ A solution-oriented mindset
Manage episode 305603103 series 2867606
❌🚎✈️💬Are you familiar with this? You encounter a certain situation or challenge. You might have just missed your bus or flight, how do you go about it?
🤷♂️➡️😡🤬/🤔🔎🚖🚴♀️🚶♀️You might get mad at some things, complain a little bit, why the train was delayed, or why the alarm did not go off correctly. But the single most important piece to remind yourself of is: “All of those things leading up to this moment have happened, and no matter how hard you try to complain or blame others, you won’t be able to turn the time back”.
🧠🤬➡️🏖📉Because if you get caught up in this blaming and complaining mind you will just make the whole day much worse. Everything you will do or start already begins with: “This is stupid, I am basically just waiting for the next thing to go wrong”. Guess what, unfortunately, you get that favor granted a lot of times.
🤔➡️❌🔀🔎🛣So, fortunately, my mind gets to that realization pretty quick, even though I do have to remind myself from time to time. The second thought leads directly to: “I can’t change it, so it makes no sense to worry about it right now”, and the third thought getting in my mind is: “What are my alternatives right now? How do I reduce cost? How do I reduce risks? How can I find another way?”.
😰🤯➡️🧠🔎🔀If you know that you usually stress yourself in those situations, then this episode might give you a nice insight. As it shows how I changed my way of thinking in those situations. Or if you like to think solution-oriented already, this might just be a nice checkup on questions and priorities I include in my process, as compared to yours.
