Born to Build: Lessons from My Dad’s Entrepreneurial Journey
Manage episode 508531335 series 3505318
On today’s episode, I’m reflecting on my dad’s story as an entrepreneur—what he got right, where things went wrong, and the lessons we can all learn from his journey. September 26th would have been his 73rd birthday, and while his path included foreclosures and a failed business, it also left behind wisdom I carry with me every day.
If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re wired to be an entrepreneur, or how to avoid some of the pitfalls that can derail even the hardest working business owner, this episode is for you. I’ll share four key lessons from my dad’s experiences—about surrounding yourself with the right people, managing finances wisely, setting boundaries when people expect things for free, and knowing when it’s time to let go.
My hope is that his story encourages you to follow your entrepreneurial spirit the right way, with the right timing, and with the right support around you.
