In this episode, Suze and Jenni give personal examples of how to debunk irrational beliefs. First, they investigate the difference between a thought, a thought pattern or process, and a belief.

Despite their slight aversion to journaling, they both found a payoff again when they did the most recent Maxer Method challenge. Suze was able to identify a pattern with her thinking when she dug deeper, identifying three particular irrational beliefs that were active for her in relation to her current life situation.

Jenni’s insight was the correlation between intense emotions and irrational beliefs, noting that intense emotions triggered some irrational beliefs for her. Suze related that she found that different irrational beliefs had been triggered in the past under other circumstances when she had intense emotions.

Suze and Jenni demonstrate how you can dispute these pesky beliefs by using the tool called Irrational Beliefs handout which you can download from their website at https://insightmaximizers.com/handouts.
