She helped turn Stephen King's The Shining into a Film by Stanley Kubrick, was Vice President at 20th Century Fox & Co-President of Dolly Parton's Sandollar Productions. Carol discusses how her career in Hollywood has lasted decades because she played the long game. Carol first worked in publishing then moved to Hollywood to raise a family and have a career. It was an uncommon combination for women at the time but Carol stuck to her principles & strong work ethic & succeeded. She's worked with legends like Barbra Streisand & Dolly Parton plus great writers like Mike White who wrote television’s The White Lotus. She executive produced Dead Ringers directed by David Cronenberg & Kicking and Screaming directed by Noah Baumbach who also wrote the Blockbuster Film Barbie. Carol has recently written a book "Creative Producing".
