Given our "go go go" lifestyles and obsession with convenience, it is all too common to experience uncomfortable and disruptive health problems. While it is common, is it normal?
This is the question Lea Dombrowski asked herself when her leaky gut caused majorly disruptive issues in her health. Chronic fatigue, digestion issues, bloating, insomnia and ultimately the loss of her period led to the diagnosis of an autoimmune disease--that she has since sent into remission through her pursuit of holistic health.
Although her mother worked in a hospital and helped Lia find doctors, they found that Western medicine was not successful in treating the underlying cause of Lia's discomfort. Now that she has gathered the tools and knowledge to help herself and others, she is a passionate advocate for exploring all facets of one's health in ways that doctors that might dismiss as anxiety or attempt to treat with medication that might only cause further disfunction in the body.
