Manage episode 448096373 series 3565379
In this episode, I’m talking to Bev and John Martin – The Retirement Travelers. With a Mechanical Engineering degree John spent his career making aluminum around the world. He held the position of President, Alcoa Global Primary Products – US, when me and my family moved to the States 11 years ago. The Retirement Travelers was born when John and his wife Bev started sharing their traveling experiences on YouTube after John’s retirement in 2019. In the past 5 years their community has grown to more than 125k subscribers. They’ve visited 104 countries, every US state, and 52 of the American National Parks. A travel planner enthusiast John is passionate about helping people live their best post career lives. And after being a stay-at-home mom and raising 5 beautiful kids, Bev is now using her Advertising Design and History degree as the creative behind The Retirement Travelers brand. She has in fact expanded her abilities to website design, video editing, and brand development. In our conversation the couple shares their downsizing process and what a minimalist lifestyle means. Beyond traveling insights, you will be amazed by how life unfolds when we have good intentions and no outcome in mind! If you love to travel and have a free spirit, this episode is for you!
