His training background includes a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery from Bangalore University, Ayurvedic MD from Rijiv Gandhi University Health Sciences, Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and certified Yoga Therapist. Dr. Jay is currently a professor of Ayurveda at Southern California University of Health Sciences. His Ayurveda practice has been strong for over 21 years, starting in Mysore India and now in Long Beach, California. In addition he owns and operates the Ayurveda Athreya Herbs.
