The pressure is high on the Yankees right now and although they got a win in game 1, they did not look all that impressive. Gerritt Cole was ‘pedestrian’ and did not look like a guy that you will count on to win a game 7. The best players on the team, not performing in the biggest spots, is what has happened in the past. The Yankees ‘escaped’ with a win. You can’t lose to a team that throws Michael Wacha out there for game 1. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Phillies beating the Mets. Edwin Diaz talked about his struggles and how he ‘went lazy’. The Giants defense was swarming in Seattle and had a huge blocked FG for a TD. The Jets lost in London and their run game was non-existent. Rob SALEH talked about their terrible offense and once again said ‘it’s early’ being 5 games in. The Ravens beat the Bengals and we heard from Kevin Harlan on the call. In the final segment of the hour, firing Rob SALEH in the middle of the season does not seem to be a reality. The Jets offense looked terrible and Boomer said it’s because Rodgers has only played with these guys for a few weeks. Gio wondered how Sam Darnold was able to do it then. Gio said the Jets coaching ‘stinks’. What about Jayden Daniels? How is he able to do it when he hasn’t played with his guys prior to this?
