Hour 1 The Yankees have advanced to the ALCS and we are closer to a subway series. Both the Yankees and Mets await their opponents. The Yankees are right where they were expected to be. The Yankees/Royals series was a little boring because we expected the Yankees to win, and they did. Jerry is here for his first update of the day but first a caller said that Boomer was sort of attacking Gio in the first segment of the show. Jerry starts with the sounds of the Yankees beating the Royals. Gerrit Cole talked after the game after ‘a couple IPAs’. Jazz Chisholm loves being booed in the opposing parks. Jeff Ulbrich met the media and is taking play calling duties out of the hands of Nathaniel Hackett. The Niners beat the Seahawks in Seattle last night. In the final segment of the hour, Gio said Nathaniel Hackett has to be the stone worst coach employed in the NFL. He got demoted 5 games into Aaron Rodgers quarterbacking the Jets. Why is Aaron Rodgers getting a pass for this brutal offense? Hour 2 The Detroit Tigers went on an incredible run in the middle of August and now they are a step closer to the ALCS. Boomer went over the Mets pitching staff for the playoffs. They are the best in baseball right now. The Mets also have a handful of players that came out of nowhere to be huge for the team like Mark Vientos and Jose Iglesias. A caller said this Mets magic wouldn’t have happened if Jeff McNeil didn’t get hurt. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of John Sterling as the Yankees beat the Royals. Todd Downing will call the plays for the Jets after Jeff Ulbrich took that away from Nathaniel Hackett. Haason Reddick was dropped by his agents. The Niners beat the Seahawks on TNF. In the final segment of the hour, ‘Lieutenant Dan’, of Hurricane Milton fame, actually has a long rap sheep. He was like a folk hero for not wanting to leave during the hurricane, but now, after finding out he has a history of violent crimes, people don’t like him. Hour 3 As a Mets fan, who would you rather play, the Dodgers or Padres? Boomer loves the stadium in San Diego and would consider morning there, ‘if it wasn’t in California’. We talked about doing the show in San Diego if it’s the Padres and talked about the time Joe, Evan and Gio all shared a hotel room when they went out to L.A. for a Dodgers series. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Yankees beating the Royals and some sound from the postgame celebration. Jeff Ulbrich is the new head coach and Nathaniel Hackett is no longer calling plays. The Niners beat the Seahawks on TNF. Geno Smith talked about the team starting 3-0 and now falling to 3-3. Dak Prescott met the media and thought it was crazy how much coverage the demolition of his house got. He was not happy. In the final segment of the hour, Malik Nabers is still dealing with his concussion and likely won’t play Sunday night against the Bengals. He was at a Travis Scott concert and Gio wonders if that’s a big deal or not. Boomer said it’s a big deal because of the noise and the lights at a concert and the effect of that on a concussion. Boomer seems to think he’s playing this week if he went to a concert. If he doesn’t play, then going to the concert is a big deal. Thursday Night Football once again had the teams putting up a lot of points and a lot of guys got injured. Hour 4 The Giants play the Bengals on Sunday night and the Bengals are the second worst defense in the league. But Daniel Jones hasn’t thrown a TD in 4 straight home games. That is a crazy stat. And Prime Time Daniel Jones has not been good. But if the Bengals lose, their season is essentially over. A caller doesn’t want Jeff McNeil on the roster because of how well the Mets have been playing. Boomer said they are only getting him ready in case somebody gets hurt.
