HBO Max dropped the first two episodes of the limited series, where we find the iconic once-30-something group of girlfriends now in their 50s and settled down. Of course, there’s one person missing, and boy do we miss her. Co-hosts Phil Mutz and Dara Katz agree that while there’s a Samantha Jones-sized hole in the new series [insert sexual innuendo smirk], the show—and its slew of new characters—works. Is it the old Sex and the City? No. But with that shocking twist at the end of episode one, we might be getting more of a taste of the original than we expected.
