We all want to be happy - but so often it feels like true happiness can be out of reach. Often we can get caught up in the comparison trap, thinking when I just to get to the point someone else is, then I'll be happy.
But it doesn't always work like that. The actor Jim Carrey famously said "I think everybody should get rich and famous and do everything they ever dreamed of, so they can see that it's not the answer.”
How can we achieve happiness? And what is a reasonable amount of happiness that we should expect in our lives?
To help us answer this question is Glen Cochrane. Glen is the pastor of End Church in Brisbane and has been married to Maureen for 38 years and has 4 adult children.
He holds postgraduate qualifications in arts, education and theology, and has lecured in a number of Bible Colleges, particularly around the are of Christian world view.
