En octobre 2023, Chahut Média était invité par InZone-UNIGE à donner une formation podcast de trois jours à onze étudiant·es syrien·nes du camp de réfugié·es d’Azraq, Jordanie. Azraq: c’est une région désertique située à environ 100Km d’Amman. On trouve une oasis pas loin, une base militaire aussi. Et depuis 2014 ce camp de réfugiés géré par l’UNHCR en coopération avec le gouvernement jordanien. Ils sont 40'000 personnes à y vivre actuellement. Le quotidien et la morosité du camp, le présent confisqué, le futur obstrué, mais aussi les amitiés ou les passions majuscules: c’est de cela que traitent ces huit podcasts originaux - en anglais - conçus en seulement trois jours par les étudiant·es. Moyenne d’âge: 21 ans. Thème général, interviews, montage, musique, sound design: ils-elles ont tout décidé, se sont interviewé·es les un·es les autres, ont improvisé ou au contraire soigneusement développé leur projet. Nous nous sommes mis à la leur service et les avons accompagné·es. Ils-elles sont les voix d’Azraq. Écoutez leur témoignage. n October 2023, Chahut Média was invited by InZone-UNIGE to give a three-day podcast training course to eleven Syrian students from the Azraq refugee camp in Jordan. Azraq is a desert region about 100 km from Amman. There is an oasis nearby, as well as a military base. And since 2014, this refugee camp has been run by the UNHCR in cooperation with the Jordanian government. There are currently 40,000 people living here. The daily grind and gloom of the camp, the confiscated present, the obstructed future, but also the friendships and major passions: these are the subjects of these eight original podcasts - in English - created in just three days by the students. Average age: 21. General theme, interviews, editing, music, sound design: they decided everything, interviewed each other, improvised or carefully developed their project. We put ourselves at their service and accompanied them. They are the voices of Azraq. Listen to what they have to say.
