1 THEY WERE ‘COWERING IN THE CORNER’: The WA MP who stood up against the establishment for shooters 29:33
LOUISE KINGSTON takes no prisoners when it comes to working hard to helping shooters out west. The firebrand upper house MP speaks on why she addressed the recent WA Gun Rally, despite attempts by others to silence her. She explains that there was nothing to gain by having shooters ‘cowering in the corner’, and why it was important that shooters made a stand in the lead up to the WA state election. Louise also talks about her plan to improve the way Western Australian shooting groups are represented, through the establishment of a dedicated commission. It's a plan to help shooters dodge the new laws in WA which will otherwise come into effect no matter who wins the election. ** Her plan means shooters could be unaffected by the laws - and it won’t cost them government cent. ** Her plan is to create a ‘bridge’ between now, and whenever the new laws can be repealed and rewritten to make them far more reasonable. We also discuss how the state’s new voting system works, and we reveal our voting advice for shooters, with early voting starting on Monday 24 February. Our recommendations are: Vote 1- Louise Kingston (you'll find her in the independent column at "Group M") Vote 2 - Steve Thomas (Liberal Party) and / or Nick Goiran (Liberal Party - "Group C") Vote 3 - Ryan Burns (Libertarian Party) Vote 4 etc - pro-gun parties, then the Nationals and rest of the Liberals Vote last - Labor then the Greens. However, remember you can stop at box number 20 if you wish, for your vote to count. LIKE THIS VIDEO? TOM BROUGH is a Liberal Party candidate standing for the seat of Albany in WA’s March State Election. He’s not only a shooter, but passionate about standing up for shooters when needed. We talk about what he’s hearing from shooters, including those from local clubs in his area. Albany is a marginal seat: if you live in that area, then this is a ‘must watch’ for you. It’s also a must watch for other Liberal Party MPs or candidates who are unsure about the gun issue – or what this fight is about. It’s an issue we would strongly recommend candidates brush up on as the election – and the WA gun rally on 8 February – approach. 1 FROM ITALY TO WA: IPSC shooter, Giuseppe, explains what he could do in Italy – that he won't be able to do here 31:33
PASSIONATE ITALIAN-BORN SHOOTER, Giuseppe Mottalini, explains how WA’s new gun laws will affect him. He explains his shooting background in Italy, and how he’s stepped into Labor’s cultural war that threatens to destroy shooting in his home state. Giuseppe explains why he’s going to the WA Gun Rally on 8 February – to protest against a government that wants to destroy his way of life. He also talks about the confusion that some shooting organisations have created over it, for their own selfish reasons. It’s pretty straight forward: shooters need to protest against the new laws – and this is their opportunity to get heard. Join the rally The rally will be held at 10:30am on Saturday 8 February 2025, at the Supreme Court Gardens. For updates on the rally, sign up at tinyurl.com/WAGunRally Getting there is easy Perth has public transport terminals within easy walking distance of the gardens. They are: Perth Train Station - Wellington Street; Elizabeth Quay Train Station - Mounts Bay Road; Elizabeth Quay Bus Station - Mounts Bay Road; Transperth Ferry - Barrack Street Jetty; Terrace Road Carpark - Terrace Road. There is public parking just next door to the venue. However, we’d recommend coming in by train if you can, just in case finding a park becomes tricky. You can get more information on Perth’s public transport network from TransPerth at https://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/ Before you go…. In addition to going to the rally, we’re asking shooters to make one phone call – to WA Labor’s head office. The more calls they get, the more they’ll realise just how many people are genuinely upset by the new laws - and how many votes this is going to cost them. Their number is (08) 9328 7222. Tell them: You’re a gun owner You’re supporting the rally on 8 February You’re going to vote Labor out Be polite. Remember that the people you speak with are simply employees doing their job. Don’t take it out on them. However they’ll be able to tell those who thought they could get away with this, just how bad the situation is becoming for them. -------------------------------------------------------------- GUN NEWS AUSTRALIA is brought to you by Politics Reloaded and Gun Traders Australia --------------------------------------------------------------- JOIN NOW – strength in numbers You can back what we're doing by becoming a subscriber for just $30 a year at: https://politicsreloaded.com/join-us/ --------------------------------------------------------------- DONATE – we need to be heard Your donation really helps us get our messages to more and more shooters. SHOOTERS ACROSS WA are about to take a stand against a reckless Labor Government and vindictive police minister. The rally is being organised by Shooters Union Australia and Politics Reloaded after being asked to do so by members of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia WA who felt their organisation had given up the fight. YOU KNOW the story: the new Firearms Act is a disgrace. Its legislation designed to take what you love to do away from you. THE RALLY WILL send a simple message to shooters of the need to VOTE LABOR OUT at the March State Election. The issue of gun laws was already a problem for Labor: many of you have already made your thoughts known to the candidates. However, the rally seems to be the flare that has finally been shot into the air for them. In fact, Labor now has operatives who set up fake pro-gun Facebook profiles to discredit the rally – but they’ve acted too late. This already looks like being the biggest pro-gun rally since ’96. It’s also indictive of why so many shooters are becoming ‘one issue voters’, not only in WA, but in other states and territories because of similar attacks there. WE SPEAK WITH David Brown from Shooters Union Australia about the rally’s beginning, what we are looking to achieve and the response so far. We also give Perth City Council a thumbs up for their approach to this rally – and thank the way Western Australian Police have managed this so far. How to get to the rally Getting there is easy. Perth has public transport terminals within easy walking distance of the gardens. WA MP, STEVE THOMAS gives us a hard-hitting look at the reality about WA’s new gun laws – and how WA farmers were misled by a deliberately deceptive narrative. Steve explains why he voted against the new laws while his party’s leadership supported them. He explains the huge cost that every WA shooter will now face – including farmers who trusted Labor, but can now expect to fork out as much as $8k for their new safes, and licence fees of over $700 a year. He also explains how Labor worked with the media to deliver its agenda – which is to ultimately remove every firearm from every licensed shooter. Steve’s comments come on the eve of the WA Gun Rally being held at 10:30am on Saturday 8 February, at Perth’s Supreme Court Gardens to send Labor a vital political message one month out from the March state election. You can sign up for the rally at tinyurl.com/WAGunRally . The bottom line is simple -and one that the Liberals, the Nationals and all pro-gun parties are saying, which is to VOTE LABOR OUT. WA SHOOTERS are in for expensive new safe requirements. The new laws will require safes that will cost a minimum of $3k and be so heavy – well over 300kg at a minimum – they’ll need a few mates or cranes to move them. Forget to change the safe, and WA shooters will be up for a $5k fine for the first offence, and jail for a second offence. WE LOOK at the new requirements which are completely impractical – and what shooters can do about this, with a state election coming up in March. There’s no doubt about it: the WA Labor government NEEDS TO GO. PLUS we chat about the huge gun rally being organised for Perth on Saturday 8 February. If you are against what the government has done, then this is how you can fix the problem. JOIN the rally at tinyurl.com/WAGunRally. WE LOOK at the world of selling and buying firearms online – and even how non-tech savvy dealers can now set up their own online storefront. We talk about social media bans on dealers – and how one creative dealer is reaching shooters in their own way. We also look at gun shows – and the amazing Owen Gun Museum in Gympie. AMONG THE KEY EVENTS TO LOOK FORWARD TO THIS YEAR is the Brisbane Firearms Expo in May. The prospectus is available, so if you’re an exhibitor from anywhere in Australia, check it out today.See the links below. We look at the enduring problem with WA – and why shooters everywhere need to be reminded of the need to get political if they want to be able to keep shooting. That’s something we’ll help you do – just make sure you subscribe to our content – find out how below. PLUS WE FIND a good use for Teslas, which no self-respecting shooter should be caught dead in. 1 “COOL OFFICE AND A PARKING SPACE”: Meet the Oregon pro-gun group going after weak & lazy politicians 34:28
KEVIN STARRETT from the Oregon Firearms Federation takes us through the history of how the Gun Owners of America formed his group to put an end to shooters being sold out by their own. He explains how local shooters had been cutting deals with politicians too afraid to do anything useful for fear of losing their “cool office and a parking space”. This has caused the western state to go from gun-friendly, to dangerously left. THIRTY YEARS AGO Kevin went to work addressing this and is now the ‘no compromise’ advocate for change ... and he’s got the wins to show it. It’s a template for what needs to be done here. EVEN the local Republicans, who should be on shooters’ side, come in for a serve for failing to stand up to the left-wing Democrats and standing up for shooters. Too many Republicans have allowed themselves to become weak and ineffective … which describes our own Liberal Party to a tee. 1 IN THEIR SIGHTS: ASIC moves against shooting organisation | Enemy within The White House | WA Liberals on guns 16:22
THE CORPORATE WATCHDOG, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, has proposed to deregister rogue shooting group, the National Shooting Council. The move would end the organisation’s existence, and follows over a year of infighting and wild allegations against shooting organisations and individuals. While ASIC has not yet decided if it is going to proceed with the proposal, the move raises major questions about how it managed to get into that situation. WE also look at the gun control organisations who are riding on the back of taxpayer funds with an office in the US White House. PLUS we critique the change in the way the Western Australian Liberal Party is pitching itself to shooters, just three months out from the WA State Election. GRASS ROOTS NORTH CAROLINA is a US firearm rights group that has built a solid reputation for being able to raise, change and beat bad legislation. IN THIS EXCLUSIVE, we speak with the GRNC’s President, Paul Valone, about how it manages to mobilise tens and hundreds of thousands of shooters to do what it takes to make sure politicians don’t ignore them. Their approach (as it relates to us) has nothing to do with the Second Amendment . Rather, it’s a template for something that would work in Australia IF we can get properly organised. Paul speaks about how the GRNC uses modern communications technology to alert shooters to what they need to do, their database which records the voting and survey responses of every politician, and making sure everyone in the NC Legislative knows who they are. They do this with considerable success and have the track record to show. WE ALSO SHOW you the extensive and complex database that GRNC uses to track politicians and budding candidates on their voting records and survey responses that go towards developing a rating system for voters to see. We’re developing our own system for future use that borrows ideas from this. PAUL also released “Rules for Anti-Radicals” which is very relevant to dealing with the political problem facing Aussie shooters. It explains the influence of anti-gun groups, the rise of “woke lunacy” and how to inflict “political pain” to make sure politicians pay the price - or are rewarded for support – as necessary. Importantly it explains the tactics that they use. WHILE other US groups focus on the Second Amendment – which isn’t relevant to us – the GRNC’s tactics is something every politically active Australian pro-gun group should pay attention to. That’s because these are tactics that can be used here. To get a copy of “Rules for Anti-Radicals” , go to rulesforantiradicals.com. WE CHAT with the SFFP and SUA’s Phil Bigg, about the political problems continuing to face Tasmanian shooters. We discuss the fight over antiques, firearms trafficking, and the vagueness of Tasmania’s firearm laws. These are matters that Phil has fought hard to bring to the attention of Labor, the Liberals and the Jackie Lambie Network. We run through the obscene changes Tasmania Police are proposing to make to firearm licence applications, and to any shooter wanting to renew their licence. PLUS we look at the lie that police minister, Felix Ellis, said to shooters prior to the recent Tasmanian State Election when he committed the Liberal Government to ‘supporting law abiding firearm owners’ – when he’s done the opposite. If you’re a shooter in Tasmania, help Phil by backing the SFFP ( Tas only ) and Shooters Union Australia. Don’t forget - SUA membership comes with insurance! If you’re from a Tasmanian based shooting organisation, this interview should explain why you need to get behind Phil at the next election. He’s genuine, passionate – and he knows his way around Tasmania’s political system. A PUBLIC FIGHT between the Liberal and National parties in WA has created an opportunity for shooters to regain some of the ground they lost in recent times against the state’s draconian gun laws. After making it clear that the National Party will not form a coalition government with the Liberals unless it committed to repealing the new laws, Liberal leader, Libby Mettam, held a media conference to refute the claim. However, sources from both sides of parliament have described her move as ‘train wreck’, leaving several Liberal MPs at odds with their leader. IN THIS EPISODE, we take you through that fight, and why the Liberals best hope for next year’s WA State Election is to dump their current leader. If the cards fall the right way, this could create a significant opportunity for shooters to retaliate against the Cook Government – and wind back the clock on what has been happening. A win in the west would send a key message to shooters in other states – but getting there will require a bit of luck in having things line up that way. We also suggest shooters check out WA journo, Ben Harvey’s, take on the state’s gun policy shamble. WE also look at changes Tasmania Police are looking at making to the firearm licence application form – which will make it five times as long as an application for getting a driver’s licence ! There are questions which look like they are modelled on what has been happening in WA – so now is the time for shooters EVERYWHERE to make their voices heard. WITH QUEENSLAND VOTERS going to the polls this weekend, we look at why shooters up north need to back pro-gun parties such as Katters Australian Party and One Nation ahead of the majors. Even if you don’t have that choice, you can still put the LNP ahead of Labor and the Greens – which is the best way of sending a message to the Labor government that they need to put more effort into looking after shooters. This advice is in line with the information being put out by Shooters Union Australia, and with the problems that shooters around the nation are having with wall-to-wall Labor governments, with Tasmania and the NT being the exceptions. WE SPEAK with Danny Ryan, Political and PR rep of the VDHA, about duck hunting in Victoria, particularly what duck hunters can or cannot look forward to in 2025. Will there be a season? What about using lead ammo? What does it mean for the future of duck hunting? We discuss the recent parliamentary committee’s proposal to ban duck hunting. Fortunately, the ban didn’t eventuate, but how long will that last? There are also a few problems with the new Wildlife Game regulations, particularly if you use lead ammo. You need to know what calibres may not be available in steel – because it may not be commercially viable for dealers to get the ammo you need. We cover everything that duck hunters – and the industry that supports them - need to know. It’s a story of how key losses that outweigh any wins – and what you can do to help turn that tide.
