A secret field that summons lightning. A massive spiral that disappears into a salt lake. A celestial observatory carved into a volcano. Meet the wild—and sometimes explosive—world of land art, where artists craft masterpieces with dynamite and bulldozers. In our Season 2 premiere, guest Dylan Thuras, cofounder of Atlas Obscura, takes us off road and into the minds of the artists who literally reshaped parts of the Southwest. These works aren’t meant to be easy to reach—or to explain—but they just might change how you see the world. Land art you’ll visit in this episode: - Double Negative and City by Michael Heizer (Garden Valley, Nevada) - Spiral Jetty by Robert Smithson (Great Salt Lake, Utah) - Sun Tunnels by Nancy Holt (Great Basin Desert, Utah) - Lightning Field by Walter De Maria (Catron County, New Mexico) - Roden Crater by James Turrell (Painted Desert, Arizona) Via Podcast is a production of AAA Mountain West Group.…

As the relationship trauma series continues, Tilinao and I spoke about Abuse. We often think abuse is just someone raising their hands to hit someone, but there are many forms of abuse. So fitting that this episode comes on the 5th day of the 16 days of Activism.
In this episode, Tilinao who is a counseling Psychologist and I continue on with the Relationship Trauma episode. We spoke about Cheating/Infidelity and the effects it has on ones Mental Health. As always Tilinao is very insightful and eloquent and really knows her stuff. Enjoy.
For the first time on the Podcast, I sat down with Tilinao Lamba who is a clinical psychologist. We initially planned on talking about different topics regarding relationship trauma but figured we wouldn't be doing the topic justice. We settled on talking about Ghosting. This was such an insightful conversation and I thoroughly enjoyed picking Tilinao's brain!…
Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Mwai and I chatted about the alarming numbers of the increasing suicide rates especially amongst men. We often ask each other to be kind to each other, to create safe spaces for one another. Are these just conversations we are just having and not actually actively doing the work when we are done chatting about it on social media? Are men creating safe spaces for each other. Let us create a space that allows for people to exist in a way that allows for them to flourish. Let us get to Zero.…
In this episode, Mwai and I sat down with Prof. Caroline Kautsire who is originally from Malawi and now lives in Boston, USA. She is an English professor and the author of the books, What Kind of Girl? and Some Girl, can you tell we named our podcast after one of her books 🤭. Caroline is a mentor at Brown University for the Women's Launch Pad program and a keynote speaker in Boston. She is also a philanthropist who gives motivational speeches in Malawi, Boston, and beyond. In this KIND OF PODCAST, Caroline was brave enough to share for the first time her struggle with Bipolar and overcoming adversity. It was truly an insightful conversation and we were honored to have hosted her! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did recording this podcast. ❤️…
We often talk about Men's Mental Health on account of the rising number of men succumbing to suicide. And the numbers aren't going down. What conversations need to happen? It was an insightful conversation we hope you enjoy it as much as we did recording it.…

We were also joined by sweet sweet Micah so that means we had several interludes. We hope you enjoy this as much as we did recording it…
Mwai and I did a really different thing on this one. We sat down with Henry who is a meditation and Breathwork instructor, we learnt so much about how Breathwork and meditation can be grounding. There were bits that were unclear at the beginning because 'semantics' but we definitely managed to pick it up again. It was such an interesting conversation we hope you can learn from it as we did. We also had Serene Ndovi AKA Btz Hun who is a lifestyle and content creator. It a really good conversation! Enjoy!…

This title is borrowed from Lisa Bevere's book because it so profoundly reminds me of Mwai's journey of courage this past year. I realise in the episode I mentioned it was from Brené Brown, my bad. In this episode we speak about courage, the holidays, love and being vulnerable while hoping to be understood. We hope you are able to find the people you can be vulnerable around and wish you the very best in the year ahead. Happy new year from Mwai and I. Sending lots of love and light.…
Mwai and I continue to have organic conversations and this week we are focused on slowing down and intentionally grounding oneself. We hope that this conversation was as therapeutic as it was for us! Enjoy.
This episode was more like a phonecall between Mwai and I. Because we've been out for such a long time we figured to just have a conversation between the two of us. This is us with our hearts on our sleeves, raw and authentic the only way to be vulnerable and the best way to heal. We hope you enjoy this as much as we enjoyed the conversation❤️…

1 Beyond the fluff of self-care dives into learning what self-love looks like in our generation. 30:30
In this episode Mwai and I were lucky to have Nelly Sabola come on and talk about what self-love looks like for her. We live in a generation where we throw around buzz words in the name of keeping up with the current trends (and selfcare is a thing right now), but what does that really look like? How does one cultivate it? This episode taps abit into that. Be on the look out for a more indepth part two of this pod! Enjoy…
In this episode Mwai and I sat down with Manota Mphande who is a recovering addict. We were extremely blessed to have him share with us how his journey looked like then, and now. Over the years, the number of men succumbing to suicide has been 3 times higher than that of women. Men are least likely to seek mental health help and for the most part like to keep things to themselves. Society has convinced men that talking about your feelings and problems is "weak" and this is costing us heavily. In this podcast we try to normalize these conversations and shine a light on the problem that is toxic masculinity and also dig into finding out from a male perceptive why talking is hard. We also touched on GBV since it was recorded during 16 days of activism. I hope you enjoy this as much as we enjoyed recording it and learn from it while continuing to have these conversations in your various community settings and amongst your peers. So many gems and profound wisdom from this amazing mother of one. We definitely hope others can relate. Enjoy!…
Motherhood is a beautiful thing. And because having children has been happening for a long time, we take for granted the challenges and stuggles that mothers go through. On this episode Mwai Wirima, who is a single mother talks about her journey as a mother and how she copes. We are hoping this episode will help other single mothers recognize that they aren't alone, their fears are legit and they should be able to talk about them.…
