This week Sid talks to one of the biggest and brightest stars in country music – Lainey Wilson. Back in May, he drove up to Nashville and got to have this conversation in person at Lainey’s farmhouse outside of town. The occasion was a Southern Living cover shoot, and Lainey and Sid sat down on a pair of comfortable chairs in her speakeasy-style basement, which is where she writes a lot of her songs. Lainey couldn’t have been more welcoming as a host, even though she’d been touring nonstop for her latest album, Whirlwind . She’s also hosting the CMA Awards in mid-November, and she’s appearing in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel Reminders of Him early next year. But Lainey has clearly not forgotten her small-town roots in Baskin, Louisiana, or the importance of good friends, family, and her faith. She talked a lot about how she stays grounded, how she keeps holding on despite a wild few years in Nashville, and the importance of keeping her people close. She also told some funny stories about her fiance, Devlin Hodges, who goes by Duck, and how she and her family celebrate Thanksgiving. Join hosts Caligula Q. Strawman and K-Slick as they review Cobalt Core, a roguelike deck buidling adventure! Cobalt Core was developed by Rocket Rat Games, and published by Brace Yourself Games. It was released on the Nintendo Switch, as well as Windows, on November 8th, 2023. In this cute, yet cerebral, sci fi card game you'll select three out of eight possible crew members, board one of several ships, and battle your way out of a time loop. Battles take place on a single axis, with the player playing cards to move the ship, apply shields, or fire cannons among other things. The gang praised the writing, dark mode aesthetic, unique game play, and various build options. Cobalt Core scored a 7.5/10, and both hosts would recommend the game to all players. GotY Watch returns with a review of Lies of P! This is Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio joint. It was released on September 19th 2023 for the Xbox Series X/S, Windos, macOS, Playstation 5, and some last gen stuff. We are back and playing to our strengths, which means we are playing total garbage! This game sucks, it's really very terrible and the people who like it are worse. I'll stand by that. I would be ashamed to have my name attached to this game, as a matter of fact, I am ashamed that we even did a show on this game. Miserable, mierable stuff. Shadow Warrior 3 marks a return of the Shadow Warrior franchise. It was unleashed on poor unsuspecting game enjoyers and hack reviewers on March 1st, 2022. It is "playable" on the XBox One, XBox Series X/S, Playstation 4 and 5, and Microsoft Windows platforms. Please don't play this game. We had little good to say about this game. Roboquest is a fast-paced action roguelight FPS that was initially released on June, 20, 2020 by RyseUp Studios. You can play Roboquest on Mircosoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. For this review we played the PC version. We both recommend this game to any and all types of players. While the game is more fun with friends you can play it alone and have a good time. We praised the music, the gameplay, and the build options. If you like video games check it out. It is worth your time, and more importantly it is worth your money.…
In November of 2021 Duoyi Games released Gunfire Reborn on Microsoft Windows. In May of 2022 it was released for Xbox Series X/S. A mobile version was released as well. For this review we played both the Gamepass and Steam versions. The Steam version is the superior version by leagues as it gets updates and has DLC. We both would recommend this game. It's a great, fast paced rouge like first person shooter that really shines if you have some buddies to play it with. The builds and runs can get silly. Pick it up, have some laughs, and more importantly DON'T LET THE BUILD BE HOMELESS. I did find hentai for this game. It was weird. I also found this. It made me laugh, so there's that.…

Oh man, this game was brutal. It tested every conceivable limit we had as totally real game journalists. We gave it a .6/10 and honestly I can't in good faith give you more information than that. I don't want you to find this game, it's a nightmare.
I'm not even sorry about the long intro. Anything is better than talking about this game. Path of Exile is a Diablo-like released October 23rd, 2013 on Microsoft Windows by Grinding Gears Games. Since then it has made its way to consoles (Xbox and PS4). It's a free to play joint and boy does it feel like one. We don't have a lot of positive things to say about this game. In fact, this game is a waste of time. With every stupid, dumn, boring, tasteless, and out right bad game we play Dark Deity moves higher in the rankings. Look, this isn't a cry for help but it's close. We played The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos (Chicken Edition) because I have a mean trash monster that lives in my head and I have to feed it terrible games. And I will feed it terrible games or I will be cursed to walk this land as some sunken creature. DoN:TAoC(CE) was made by the ghouls over at Artefacts Studio. They cursed us with whatever the opposite of a miracle is on September 17th, 2020. You can punish yourself by playing this mess on PS4. Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, and Macintosh Operating Systems. Yay. It's bad, and dumb, and based off an audio drama. There's also some kind of graphic novel or collection of web comics. I'm sure it's all very morbid but not in way that makes you think, "Oh yeah, I should appreciate the time I have because mortality is fleeting." With that out of the way we both wouldn't recommend this game. Seriously, there are way better ways to waste your time. Final Score 1.2/10…
Archvale is a bullet hell adventure title developed by Idoz & Phops that was released December 2nd, 2021. It is on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows. Dreamscaper is an Afterburner Studios joint, also designed by Ian Cofino, that was released for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows on August 13th 2020. For this review we played the Windows version. Dreamscaper is an isometric rogue-like, hacky slashy, shootah type developed by an indie studio. It rules. Necromunda: Hired Gun is a Warhammer 40k (and Necromunda) based first person shooter developed by Streum On Studio and published by Focus Home Interactive. It was released June 1st 2021 for PS4 and 5, Xbox One as well as Series X/S, and Mircosoft Windows. For this review we played the Steam version. We scored Necromunda: Hired Gun a 2.5/10 and could not recommend this to anyone that isn't on a watch list or an ardent Warhammer 40k fan. Those are the same things. I should know, I'm on a watch list. Also, after some fine Googling, I have learned that Kal Jericho is in fact an already existing character with graphic novels and minis. Nobody tell Incitatus, that's what he's getting for Christmas.…

Marvel Snap is a collectable, digital, free to play card game that was developed by Nuverse and Second Dinner Studios Inc, and published by Nuverse. It was released on macOS, iOS, Andriod, and Microsoft Windows on October 18th, 2022. We would both recommend this game, it's definitly worth checking out, that being said don't spend money on it until you break collection level 500 as that is where a clear picture of the game is presented to you. We praised it for it's fast games, small deck sizes, and fun builds. Final notes, we held a funeral for Sunspot. It was sad. Leave our boy alone. I still have yet to see someone play Sentry. This week we dive into the curiousity Yi Xian: The Cultivation Card game which was developed by 墨日工作室 and DarkSun Studio, and published by Gamera Games. This is an online, 8 player, deckbuilding game, that includes auto battling mechanics. It was released December 6th, 2022 for Microsoft Windows. We played it on Steam. We praised the game for it's unique gameplay, dense mechanics, and 8 player format. Yi Xian also includes a single player mode, a mode more card games need. Vampire Survivors is a rogue-like shoot em up published and developed by poncle. It was initially released on March 31, 2021. It is now on a litany of consoles and hand held devices. We praised this game for it's satisfying gameplay, time travel inducing runs, and it's overall presentation. I can't speak highly enough about it. We both would recommend this game. Hogwarts Legacy is an action RPG released February 7th, 2023 for Microsoft Windows, X Box Series X/S, and Playstation 5. It was published by Warner Bros. Games and was developed by Avalanche Games. We praised it for capturing the Harold Potterman vibes, artistic direction, and overall package. We also praised it's side quests and character writing. Caligula would recommend this game to people familiar with the franchise, Mia liked the game but would not recommend it. So maybe check it out if you have a Harry Potter tattoo.…

The dirty, dusty boys are back in town! And they brought Chained Echoes with them. Chained Echoes is a GRPG developed by Matthias Linda and published by Deck13. It was released on December 8th, 2022 for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series X/S, Playstation 4 and 5, as well as Microsoft Windows, Linux, and MacOS. We declared this game some kind of Chrono Cross/Chrono Trigger-like. We can do that, we're real games journalists. We praised this games fantastic writing, directorial flourishes, and combat systems. It was released December 1st, 2022 on just about any modern console that runs game, up to and including Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, as well as Nintendo Switch. This game is a roleplaying Marvel card game so it scratches every good itch outside of Atomicrops ,which is the goat. We both recommend this game. Alchemia listed it as the only game she 100%'d. We praised it's writing, voice acting, and modular card game mechanics. Alchemia said it made her a better friend. Rad. Go check it out, it's totally worth your money and time.…

Tainted Grail: Conquest is a hybrid deck building rogue-like and RPG joint developed by Questline and published by Awaken Realms that was released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox Series X/S on May 27th, 2021. We would both recommend this game to people who have already played a few rogue-like deck builders. You don't want this game to pop any cherries. We both did and didn't praise it's grimderp writing. Simply put, this game sucks and I love it. Hit the episode for more details. If dark settings, card games, and rogue-likes are a thing you like then hit Steam, GOG, or the Xbox store.
