×This was a fiction prompt with quite a few different directions... And since I didn't do a specific example when I wrote it way back, I did one here.
And there was this one time I got asked a couple questions by a clerk at the post office. Unexpected, but I learned a lot from it.
Snow is useful for quite a few different things, even if it's not the season for it...

Fiction and Copy Decoded

This is a bit of follow-up from last week, with a friend of a friend who landed a role in a movie. But with a different twist on it, to make it a writing prompt, of course.
This is how I realized acting and writing (as well as other creative endeavors) have things in common on the marketing side (as well as the persistence side).
Because of course, the idea of goals is a bit too abstract for me at times.
Yep, what the title says...
So in 2015, I did a year in review thing. I got some more and some less done than I thought...
F
Fiction and Copy Decoded

This one's about routine, pacing yourself, and knowing when and how to use your creative juice...
And so the prompts in 2015 ended (and I needed to remember to write a different number at the end of the year when I wrote dates on stuff soon after). Which is where the idea for the prompt came from.
A bit more about the relative whose funeral I went to, since I didn't know much of his circumstances until after.
F
Fiction and Copy Decoded

This happened years ago, but the reasons I reflect on it still persist.
So we've moved on from the crossword clue prompts, and this was my first crack at going it on my own, back then.
F
Fiction and Copy Decoded

***I do talk about end of life as a concept here, so be warned.*** Otherwise, this is about a strategy I found useful to get creative stuff done, in the midst of also doing work for others. Since of course, there's always work to be done.
A barebones way to make a writing prompt in this case, but I think it works for what it is.
It's a number of reasons, but they work for most or all creatively driven disciplines.
This one's about a fictional character (or another character) and a real type of amphibian (I think that's what this creature's called).
This is about me, a bit about Canada, and some about Australia too...
Another one from crossword land this week. Hope you enjoy it.
This day comes around once a year, and I forgot it's come around quite a bit more than I realized...
This is about ducks, at least in part...
**While there's no explicit content here, I DO mention anxiety a little bit.** Otherwise, this is about perfecting my craft, and how some of that happened, especially with expectations.
So I'd forgotten I made so many prompts in a row with crossword puzzles...
A bit of a crossword puzzle prompt today, as well as a bit on writing fiction involving characters who aren't human.
F
Fiction and Copy Decoded

A little story about a hard-luck French explorer and ways you can benefit (beyond history and a good story).
All of that stuff about the only constant being change is great for creatives, it turns out.
F
Fiction and Copy Decoded

Another crossword clue blast from the past this week...
So yeah, this is about a mix-up that I had had, or put another way, the biggest lapse in attention I ever had.
F
Fiction and Copy Decoded

So I didn't get done what I thought I would, at least that week...
I thought I would do something unexpected, a bit, for this episode. Here it is.
I've taken time away from work before, of course, but this time I thought a bit about what it meant to me, and to the rest of my life.
This prompt I did change, since I pretty much had to, to be safe. But I hope you still enjoy it.
He's cool like that, and this also works in fiction and business too.
This one's another in the crossword clue series for fiction prompts--this time about a curious computer program (partially).
In a creative field you get training every day, if you're open to it.
Not a lot to go on here, but that's what makes it fun sometimes.
So I could have handled this a bit better, or should have if I wanted to help them out.
This one's about a script...
This was a hard piece of advice to take, but it doesn't make it less true.
Another fiction prompt gem that I hope will give you a laugh.
One time I got stuck on implementation--has this ever happened to you?
A lot of pasta in this one...
F
Fiction and Copy Decoded

Much of the creator's inspiration and other turns of events come from this one thing.
F
Fiction and Copy Decoded

Another prompt based on a couple crossword clues (and birds!)
It's less direct than "don't call us, we'll call you," but I did learn quite a bit from it.
