So she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we do not know where they have put Him.” So Peter and the other disciple left, and they were going to the tomb. The two were running together; and the other disciple ran ahead, faster than Peter, and came to the tomb first; and he stooped to look in, and saw the linen wrappings lying there; however he did not go in. So Simon Peter also came, following him, and he entered the tomb; and he looked at the linen wrappings lying there, and the face-cloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen wrappings but folded up in a place by itself. Jesus said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’”Mary Magdalene came and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and that He had said these things to her.” Father, on this Resurrection Sunday, I want to say thank You for giving Your only begotten Son. Thank You that You loved me so much that You gave Your best for me. Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God. That You lived, You died, and that You rose again. I am trusting in You as my Savior, and I am going to follow You as my Lord. I am turning away from a life of self, to live my life for You believing that following You and trusting You is the best and most important decision of my life. Holy Spirit, I surrender to Your guidance. Fill me today with an awareness of Your presence and power. Holy Spirit You raised Jesus from the dead. I believe that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the grave now lives in me. Jesus I believe and am trusting that You are the resurrection and the life. In Your name, Amen.…

John 17 and 18 Betrayal comes in different forms: Betrayal of confidential information Betrayal by not standing up for people you love Betrayal by abandonment Betrayal by hurtful words or deeds There’s power in words Proverbs 16:24: “Kind words are like honey—sweet to the soul and healthy for the body”. NLT Proverbs 15:1: “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger”. NIV Proverbs 12:25: “Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up”. NIV Proverbs 18:4: “The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters…” ESV Proverbs 15:4: “Gentle words are a tree of life; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.” NLT Proverbs 25:11: “Timely advice is lovely, like golden apples in a silver basket.” NLT There’s power in actions “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.” James 2:26 NIV “Now Judas, who betrayed him, knew the place, because Jesus had often met there with his disciples. So Judas came to the garden, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and the Pharisees.” John 18:2-3 (NIV) “Meanwhile, Simon Peter was still standing there warming himself. I may have the gift of prophecy, I may understand all secrets and know everything there is to know, and I may have faith so great that I can move mountains.
