Alabama, American Samoa, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont & Virginia all cast their votes today in the democratic primary. None of these contests are winner-take-all, so every vote really matters, and Senator Sanders is ahead or competitive in a bunch of these races. Bernie has pledged to run a 50-state campaign, and it’s up to us to back him up every step of the way. With that in mind, let’s ask one quick question about Secretary Clinton’s paid speeches to Wall St. and other special interests. Specifically, three speeches to Goldman Sachs, netting her $675k. On January 23rd, Lee Fang of The Intercept published this piece: “Hillary Clinton Laughs When Asked if She Will Release Transcripts of Her Goldman Sachs Speeches.” https://theintercept.com/2016/01/23/clinton-goldman-sachs-laugh/ February 4th in a debate on MSNBC, Chuck Todd asks the question again: https://youtu.be/3d2bZ_fpypY I’m going to spare you this tap dance routine that somehow drags Johnson Controls, a pharmaceutical company called Valiant, and Oil companies into the mix. It’s basically two minutes paraphrasing: f**k off. Now, this evasion, however skillful has been noticed, not just by the Sanders campaign, but by none other than the New York Times editorial board, who refuted Secretary Clinton’s claim of a double standard at play thusly: “The only different standard here is the one Mrs. Clinton set for herself, by personally earning $11 million in 2014 and the first quarter of 2015 for 51 speeches to banks and other groups and industries." Keep in mind, this is the New York Times editorial board, booster of Wall street and endorser of Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nod. http://nyti.ms/1oL8trP And so, here we are. March 1st, Super Tuesday, and somehow, Hillary Clinton has been able to keep these speeches under wraps for almost a month, and crucially, delaying until after Super Tuesday. Follow the obfuscation: http://IWillLookIntoIt.com Let’s zoom out for a second, here. Even if we never see the transcripts, we don’t really need to. One, they’ve already been written about in Politico by Ben White and Maggie Haberman: http://politi.co/1oejykx But two, we are seeing a complete lack of transparency and indeed a deliberate stonewalling of information. We’re not talking about classified emails here, these were speeches given at a lectern to hundreds of people. A privacy claim here is laughable, and one the grand scale, a few paid speeches aren’t the real problem. Here’s the real problem. When you take this set of attitudes and tactics and apply them to a really big deal that shouldn’t be done, or a really big mistake that we as a country should not be making. It is good judgment and consistency that we want from our president, and that is why Bernie Sanders our candidate. So today, Alabama, American Samoa, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont & Virginia all take their shot at history. We thank you for listening, we welcome your comments and feedback @GoBerniePod on all social media, and Please! Go vote if you can, and visit http://BernieSanders.com/SuperTuesday for information about polling places, pone banking, and donation. And remember, The Sanders Campaign is re-inventing campaign finance reform, going straight to the people. They’ve garnered over 4 million individual contributions of far. http://BernieSanders.com/Donate For all of us here at the Go Bernie Pod, thanks for listening. And remember, we’re only getting started: Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, Maine, Michigan and Mississippi are just around the corner. Dear Nevada, today, February 20th is your big day to caucus! You’re just the third state to have your voice heard, and the very first contest in the West. The reason Nevada was chosen to vote this early is your diversity, with a significant hispanic population. So today is a huge opportunity for us to stand together - for working families, for our future, for a Bernie Sanders presidency. Here’s what Nevada voters need to know about how to caucus for Bernie Sanders today. 1) Nevada is a closed primary, so only registered democrats can caucus, not registered republicans, and not registered independents. But! 2) You do not need to be registered before today! If you live or attend college in Nevada, just arrive at your caucus site between 11 AM and noon, and you’ll be able to register on the spot and caucus for Bernie. 3) To find your polling place and check your eligibility, visit http://BernieSanders.com/Nevada. If you’re 17 and unregistered, you may still be able to join in this historic event. Today, we’re asking Nevadans of all ages and backgrounds to caucus for Bernie Sanders, the candidate who truly speaks for working people and their families. Learn where Bernie stands on the issues and examine his record, at http://BernieSanders.com. Donate if you can, and if you’re not in a position to do that, and you’re not in Nevada, keep spreading the word online. And remember, always do it with respect and civility. Thank you Nevada! South Carolina, you’re up next. Follow http://twitter.com/BernieSanders on twitter, follow us on all the social media platforms at GoBerniePod http://twitter.com/GoBerniePod.…
