Hello everyone and welcome to the very first episode of True Crime Recap. Today we'll be discussing the tragic case of female corrections officer Donna Payant.
Working in a prison system as an officer, healthcare professional, administrator, or even as a contractor can be difficult. Needless to say, it can also be a dangerous profession to get into. While there are now significantly more women who take on these roles now, this wasn't the case back in the 70's and 80's. However, Donna Payant was one of the few women who overlooked hundreds of violent offenders. But was it one of the inmates that she had to worry about, or was there something darker going on with the male prison guards?
Please tune in today to hear the tragic story of 31-year-old wife, mother, and corrections officer, Donna Payant. Although there has been a person linked to her death, I believe Donna's case can still be considered unsolved.
