Joel Skene is the Host of The Mindful Marketplace on BizRadio.US and owner of the Skene Agency which specializes in helping middle-American families eliminate their debt, protect their largest assets, and create tax-free retirement solutions.
Joel got his degree in Community Development and Film and began his career working in non-profits. After serving in the Peace Corps, Joel returned to Detroit where he worked directly with the chronically homeless, ran a food bank, and worked in urban farming and healthy food access for low-income families.
When he moved to Western North Carolina in 2014, Joel began his career in financial services and built a multi-million dollar agency with Symmetry Financial Group while earning several awards for growth and positive impact. He joined BizRadio.US in 2022 where he interviews guests who are not only using their business and capital to solve not only a market problem and create a profit, but also a social problem and create a positive impact.
