Education is power and can truly save lives. Black women are dying at disproportionate rates during labor and delivery as well as unnecessary c-sections. It is time we educate ourselves and each other. Not everyone knows what a Doula is and many think it's a new thing. Some have heard of a Doula and think it is out of reach to them. Doulas are a mother's advocate before, during and after labor.
In this episode, I have a very informative conversation about giving birth during a pandemic with my friend & family, Raven Dorsey. This is a great episode for women expecting and the village that supports them. It's time we know the options we have available to us.
