Day 229 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. After the temple dedication, God appears to Solomon with promises and warnings. Solomon then builds palaces and other structures. The Queen of Sheba visits and is amazed by Solomon's wisdom. Solomon's wealth and fame grow, and the chapter concludes with his death after a 40-year reign. 1 Corinthians 11:2-34 praises believers for keeping traditions but corrects improper head coverings in worship. Paul then addresses issues in the Lord's Supper, including division and selfishness, urging self-examination and respect for others.
