On this episode of The Matthew Yao Show podcast, Matthew gives his take to the question: "Do you need to fail before you succeed?". He goes into the two main drivers of human behaviour: reward and pain. Pain and failure is an important part of life because they teach us valuable lessons which prevent us from making the same mistakes again. Matthew also talks about why you should not drown out pain and failure from making a bad decision and instead why you should embrace the pain, the consequences of your actions. "If you remember you got burnt from the fire, you will never play with fire again. If you forget that, you will get burnt over and over again".
