Bradley Bewkes, Director of Business Development @ Idealist

Bradley Bewkes is an award-winning technologist, business founder, and elected public official.
He currently holds the position as the Director of Business Development for Idealist, a nonprofit organization which uses technology to connect idealists - or people who want to do good - with opportunities for action & collaboration. On the platform, 140,000+ organizations around the world post social good job, internship, and volunteer opportunities seen by millions of people every month. His focus is on growth strategy & partnerships and as part of these efforts Bradley launched Idealist’s iOS application, which recently won an award calling it the best nonprofit networking platform in 2020.
Bradley is also an elected official serving his second four-year term on the Stamford, Connecticut, Board of Representatives. The Board is the legislative body of the City of 130,000 residents and a $600MM budget, and makes the final approval on most major City dealings. Bradley is the Deputy Minority Leader, Co-Chair of the Land Use Committee, Chair of the Government Subcommittee for the 2020 Census Complete Count Committee, and Member of the Transportation, and Housing/Community Development and Social Services Committees.
In addition, Bradley is also a Manhattan landlord, controlling a 6,000 sq ft corner building on 64th & Lexington.
Previously, Bradley spent 15 years in the for-profit apparel and consumer goods industries building and managing several brands. He was the Managing Director for Triple C, which designs lifestyle technology products, Vice President of luxury technology-apparel designer, DDCLAB owned by New Balance Athletic, and a General Manager at Michael Kors. Bradley graduated summa cum laude from Fashion Institute of Technology, where he studied International Trade & Marketing. He’s recently completed the Charter Oak Leadership Program in Connecticut.
