Georg Gartner is a professor of cartography at the Technical University of Vienna and the president of the International Cartographic Association (ICA). During the 9th International Conference on Cartography and GIS, he gave a keynote presentation on the pure nature of maps and the future-shaping role of cartography. Prof. László Zentai, former secretary-general of ICA, interviewed him at the conference venue in Nesebar.
