Jose "Shorty" Torres is one of those people who leave a lasting mark. It was like talking to a friend. Forget MMA for a second, this dude is a GEM of a human.
He has so much knowledge to share both in the fight game and in life. He's been through a lot for a 28 year old MMA fighter chasing double-champ status with BRAVE FC, the same promotion Khamzat Chimaev made a name for himself before getting the UFC call. He's also calling fights for them. Couldn't have picked a better MMA Analyst.
His relationship with Din Thomas is incredible. If you're hoping for advice on what to look for in an MMA Head Coach, look no further. Not only did Din make the right call to leave American Top Team, but he's building something much bigger than MMA fighters and champions. He's building good people.
Torres is nothing but class when it comes to his past relationship with the UFC. He's got a clear goal when it comes to his MMA career and has so many opportunities around him. He's definitely the type of guy we'd let coach our kids.
