In episode two we're diving into the heated debate of children's well-being within family dynamics with our guest, Katy Faust, from Them Before Us.

Katy confronts the notion that adults' desires should come before children's rights, advocating for the vital biological bond between parent and child. We'll tackle tough topics like surrogacy, same-sex parenting, and the effects of separating children from their biological roots.

Prepare for a challenging discussion on societal trends that often overlook the long-term impact on the youngest and most vulnerable among us. Katy offers her powerful perspective on raising kids in today's world, looking for love with values in mind, and the personal and societal implications of non-traditional family arrangements.

Join us for this bold exploration of what it truly means to put "Them Before Us."

Here are the Highlights:

04:23 Personal desires must be sacrificed for children's rights.

08:47 Research shows that biological parents are the most connected, invested, and protective of their children.

12:24 Identity crisis after discovering hidden biological parentage.

15:21 Adults dominate marriage and family conversations, prioritising their desires and struggles while children have to accept their decisions.

18:58 Katy believes future studies will prove the natural law's validation of the importance of biological parents, and complimentary benefits offered by both mothers and fathers

24:44 Public sympathy for adult choices and freedoms.

29:55 Generation damaged by lack of commitment in relationships.

33:08 Unplanned childlessness affects 22-25% of women, a high figure considering that only 5 to 8% of women never want children.

39:46 Navigating conservative parenting in a hostile, woke city.

45:46 Uncover values and compatibility before getting involved in a partnership.
