5 Minute Drill | Persevere During a Pit Stop
Manage episode 449935495 series 3561039
Why is persevering worth it?
In Romans 5:3-5, we get one of the main reasons why. The verse says, “...suffering produces perseverance and perseverance produces CHARACTER.”
Great. One HUGE benefit to persevering is you get character. I get it - you desperately need character to not only keep in the race you’re in but also WIN it. But HOW the heck do you persevere when things get tough?
In today’s 5 Minute Drill, we’re going to tackle this as I continue my 4-part series on purpose pit stops. It’s all about doubling down on a few particular habits that, when coupled with some prayer and praise, WATCH OUT! Talk about hurdle jumped (and then some). So, if you want to persevere like the best of the best do, then lock in to today’s Drill.
In this episode, you’ll hear:
- Why skipping over prayer and praise doesn’t work.
- The formula for persevering under challenging circumstances.
- Your mind, heart, and body’s role in persevering.
- The mind-body connection and the need to treat the body right to keep the mind healthy.
Key Quotes:
“Your perseverance becomes part of your healing process.” - J.R.
