Effective Strategies For Mergers & Acquisitions Ep. 13 Hagen Rogers
You have seen it on television shows and in movies. You have read about it in the Press. But what actually happens with company mergers and acquisitions? What is a hostile takeover? What makes acquisitions contentious, and how do companies avoid negative outcomes when selling or purchasing a company?
Enter my friend Hagen Rogers, an expert on mergers and acquisitions. In this week’s episode, Hagen will walk us through the behind the scenes world of acquisitions and show us step by step how the process works. And he should know. During his 21-year investment banking career, Hagen has successfully completed more than 100 client assignments, including sell-side, buy-side mergers and acquisitions, public and private capital financings, valuations, expert witness testimony, and fairness opinions. Prior to directing Watermark Advisors, Hagen served investment banking clients as Vice President at Wachovia Securities.
He began his career with NationsBank in corporate banking and with Chase Securities in investment banking. Hagen is a member of the Financial Executives Network Group. In addition, since 2007, he has spoken nationally to hundreds of CEOs on the topic of “How to Win in Investment Banking Transactions,” in Atlanta, Birmingham, Greenville, Knoxville, Los Angeles, Louisville, Phoenix, San Diego, and Seattle. Hagen Rogers started Watermark Advisors in 2002.
