First, the plaintiff says the defendant is her boyfriend’s buddy, who was in jail and asked her to cash his stimulus check. She said she would do it for $250, but then he claimed it was cashed illegally. She’s suing for the money the back deducted from her account. The defendant says the plaintiff stole his check and he’s countersuing her.

Then, the plaintiff says she hired the defendant to make a carnival-themed dress for her 21st birthday, and the woman tried on her dress and posted a picture of her in it. She’s suing for the cost of the costume and a photo shoot. The defendant admits she might have overstepped by putting on the dress, but she wanted to demonstrate it with the headdress. She’s countersuing for unpaid work.
