The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair is a local rite of passage, and a case can be made that this very fair is where the seeds of Collected Possibilities were first planted (agriculture reference). The bright lights, the vibrant sounds, the rush of the rides - chasing that feeling turned into this very show. But can a childhood memory live up to an adult's perspective?

Usually we're focused on the new and novel, but this week it's about coming home and sharing the love with a person experiencing it for the first time. By day, JOCELYN KNAZIK PHELPS may be a genetic counselor and swing band singer. But tonight, she's bringing out VACAY-J, an alternate persona she adopts to go with the flow and leave the burden of anxiety behind, like an inverted Incredible Hulk. We talk about mental health and the search for joy, what it's like to be a vegetarian around animals destined for the slaughter, and make sure to talk about sheep testicles (just in case you were worried). All this, plus fried food galore!
