Hey, fellow Apes! Welcome back to The Great Escape podcast with your favourite duo, Sam and Col. This week started with a bang – or rather, a flop – as Sam tried and failed to bring Elsa from Frozen to life. Turns out, he's better at building stock portfolios than snowmen. Col couldn’t resist breaking into "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" Any excuse to sing a song!

But let’s swing from Disney disasters to Wall Street wonders. The stock market’s been eerily calm lately – the calm before the apeocalypse, perhaps? With Sam's goblet-sized pint glass straight out of Game of Thrones, we toasted to Roaring Kitty’s cryptic tweets and Ryan Cohen’s stealthy stock manoeuvres. It’s all bananas out there, folks!

In our rapid-fire “5 in 5” segment, we tackled Netflix’s bizarre plan to open cinemas. Seriously, Netflix? What’s next, Blockbuster comeback tours? Perfect for hands-on folks like Lauren Boebert, who might need a more “interactive” cinema experience. Then we jumped into "Pelosi Watch." Nancy Pelosi’s stock picks are hotter than a meme stock in January. Move over, Wall Street; Nancy’s the real queen!

Of course, we couldn’t forget GameStop’s latest moves, the epic Apes showing in force at AMC cinemas at the weekend, and the classic market manipulation that keeps us entertained. We wrapped it all up with a toast – Sam with his BrewDog Punk IPA and me with my Aberfeldy whiskey. Here’s to unpredictability, ape-strength resilience, and the never-ending excitement of the stock jungle.
