Meet the only venture capitalist in Palestine - Ambar Amleh, Managing Partner at Ibtikar Fund.
Ambar's journey as a venture capitalist was very unplanned. She studied marketing and focused on international and economic development.
Despite her background in economic development, she was doing political development and ended up working for a businessman in Palestine.

One of the female founders that Ambar is proud of is the founder of Tawazon, the first Arabic Meditation App. This company is featured by Apple and chosen by Amazon Alexa.
"Venture capitalism is a business where one day you might be doing really well and ready to exit, and the next day you might have lost it all," says Ambar.
Ambar's journey as a venture capitalist is inspiring. She has proved that with determination and hard work, one can make a difference in a challenging country like Palestine.
With the Ibtikar Fund, she and her team are creating opportunities for entrepreneurs in Palestine to bring their ideas to life and create companies that can expand beyond Palestine's borders.
