In the spotlight is the author of “My Magnolia Summer,” Victoria Benton Frank, who has followed in the footsteps of her mother (Dorothea Benton Frank) by becoming a novelist. Victoria was born in New York City, raised in Montclair, N.J., but considers herself to have dual residency in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and the French Culinary Institute. She worked in restaurants in New York City before moving to Charleston, S.C., where she lives with her husband and two kids. When she isn’t writing, you can find Victoria reading, cooking, or attending to her children.
