On last week's episode we collaborated with two amazing organizations and their organizers: Katherine with the Aris Foundation and John with Community Medical Services, we also introduced you to one of our Maggie's Place Mom's, Mercides. Mercides, bravely shared her story on overcoming addiction and she discussed the positive impact that Maggie's Place had on her sobriety. She also put the spotlight on one specific program we offer here at Maggie's Place. Her contact person. The role of a contact person is fulfilled by AmeriCorps Members, and specifically this special Corps member, Amy. This week's episode we will talk to Amy as she shares her journey with us through her year of service, we also will dive into what is the role of an AmeriCorps member, and how you can sign-up to provide a year of service.
