Episode #23 of Delicious City Philly is dedicated to Chef Jim Burke, an inspiration to everyone he crossed paths with and a dear friend to so many people in the restaurant community. Special guest, Chef Nick Elmi is at the forefront of the month-long fundraiser in Jim’s honor happening across the city. Throughout September, participating bars and restaurants (there are a lot of them) will feature Jim’s favorite dishes and cocktails with proceeds going to his wife, Kristina and their kids Daniel and Sadie.

Through smiles and sadness, Nick Elmi discusses the impact that Jim had on the community as a passionate force that radiated positivity.

Along with the beautiful tribute, Sarah Maiellano covers all the best Food News with lots of openings and exciting announcements. Marisa Magnatta shares her Best Bite with happened to come from the Sisterly Love + Speaking Broadly event featuring Dana Cowin, formerly of Food & Wine. Sarah’s Best Bite comes from a new self proclaimed “steak emporium” and Nick snagged the multiple-Best-Bite-tourch this week with his favorite dishes. Each of which come with a great story.
