You’ve heard the phrase ‘Enjoy the journey,’ right?

Honestly, every time I hear it, it makes me want to puke.

It sounds like a nice sentiment, but when things aren’t going as planned, it feels like the last thing you want to hear.

But recently, I had a weekend that proved me wrong….and do you know~knohow much I like to be wrong?

In today’s episode, I’m going to share how an imperfect trip to the lake that started out with such promise, quickly turned into something else, and ended up being one of the best experiences ever.

I’m going to share what it taught me about embracing life’s detours and staying open to the unexpected.

Here’s a bit of what you’ll hear:

  • Why the phrase “enjoy the journey” makes me cringe—and what changed my perspective.

  • The challenges we faced when our “perfect trip” didn’t go as planned (geographically challenged, overwhelmed, and unsure).

  • A surprising adventure, including a fancy Dollar General and a fancy pants 25 foot pontoon boat

  • Why sometimes the detours and unplanned moments are the key to enjoying the journey.

If you’ve ever asked:

  • "How can I enjoy the journey when everything feels chaotic?"

  • "How do I stay positive when things don’t go as planned in my business?"

  • "How do I shift from frustration to embracing uncertainty?"

  • "Is it possible to still make progress even when the path ahead is unclear?"
