You must look back on the foundation that you just built and determine if it is solid enough to grow with.
It’s important.
I remember in 2016 when I was in the process of trying to buy a gym in my hometown.
I needed capital to do it.
(The deal didn’t work, that’s a story for a different day).
SchillerFitness was at about $7k - $10k a month at the time.
I needed to grow fast to get capital for this gym I was trying to buy.
I widened my ideal client.
I spent money on ads and had no idea what I was doing.
I made 3-4 different offers to make more sales.
… I made more cash, yes.
But the foundation of my coaching business wasn’t solid anymore.
The message wasn’t pure.
The Ideal client wasn’t aligned.
The core values weren’t true.
Although I made more money in the short term, it cost me more in the long term because I had to cut the fat, cut the BS expenses, and strengthen the focus and foundation before scaling up again next time.
Over time when I built and grew the right way, following the 7 C’s I’m talking about in this post… things exploded.
Take home point here is make sure your growth is for the right reasons.
