Ohio State has not been one of the schools that has gone all in on the transfer portal. Under Ryan Day the last few years, the Buckeyes have continued to focus on adding high school talent and taken a pick-and-choose approach to the transfer portal, finding talent where they need it and filling holes when necessary.

What has made the Scarlet and Gray successful early in the transfer portal era, however, is that Ohio State hasn't lost key players at important positions. Day has made it clear that retaining talent is just as important, if not more so, than adding collegiate players. It is important that the Buckeyes are developing most of their players for themselves and not other programs.

But the Scarlet and Gray have lost some players to the transfer portal over the last offseasons. In this day and age, this is unavoidable.

Bucknuts looks back at the 2022 offseason and the players who elected to depart the Ohio State program. Where did they go, and how have they performed since leaving Columbus?
