🎤 The first Small Talk of the season will be with Mr. Microservices aka Chris Richardson. We're proud to welcome Chris to Milan next November for his renowned 3-day workshop titled Designing Microservices and based on his extensive experience on the topic.
Small Talk is a chance to go behind the scenes of our experts' work and get a sneak peek of their workshop. As usual, you’ll be able to join the conversation by asking questions from home.

We’ll discuss what microservices are, if, why and when you should implement them - or not!, the most common challenges and how to overcome them... and much more! We'll also get an overview of how the workshop will actually work and what we are gonna get out of it - our goal is always to provide some tools and ideas you can start implementing in your work from day one after the class.

Chris Richardson is a developer and architect. He is the author of POJOs in Action and founded the original CloudFoundry.com, an early Java PaaS for Amazon EC2. Today, he is a recognized thought leader in microservices and speaks regularly at international conferences. Chris is the creator of Microservices.io, a pattern language for microservices, and is the author of the book Microservices Patterns. He provides microservices consulting and training to organizations that are adopting the microservice architecture and is working on his Eventuate, an open-source microservices collaboration platform.
