Welcome to today's discussion on mothers living their true potential in relationships. We know that being a mother is a special job that comes with specific stressors and challenges – which is why we want to take the time today to talk through how you can tap into your full potential as a mother and thrive in relationships. One of the most important aspects of motherhood is the relationships you have with yourself, your children, and other family members. It is essential to take the time to understand yourself, from your strengths to your values and emotional needs. Taking the time to reflect and work out what makes you unique enables you to embrace your identity and shine in any situation. By understanding yourself more deeply, you can also become aware of any underlying problems or worries you may have in relationships. It could be fear of abandonment or a feeling of not being supported. Taking stock on these things can help you to move forward and allow you to realize that your relationships are worth fighting for. While caring for yourself, it is also important to extend the same care and empathy to those around you. Show kindness and attentiveness to your children, reach out to them if they’re going through a difficult time, or ask them how their day was. These small moments can make all the difference. When it comes to couples in particular, having a strong and open relationship with your partner can benefit both of you, as well as your children. You can communicate and talk openly about issues that may arise, learn to compromise and create a deeper connection and understanding between the two of you. As a mother, it is natural for you to feel overwhelmed at times and like you are short of time. However, it is essential for parents to take time out for themselves. Whether it’s reading a book, watching TV, or going for a walk, taking time out to invest in yourself will help you to stay connected with who you are and make your relationships more balanced and harmonious. Nobody said that motherhood was easy but it is also not impossible for us to live our true potential in relationships. With awareness, understanding, patience, and self-love, we can take all the steps necessary to create meaningful relationships with those around us. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/akeh-bt/message
